An incomplete cast lead or lead alloy button, of Post medieval dating (18th to 19th Centuries AD). The button is circular in plan, with raised symmetrical decoration on the front. A raised central pellet is present, with the rest of the design radiating from that. Eight diagonal rays extend from the centre, separating the button into eight segments. An open trilobed design is present in the middle of each segment. An arched tressure is present around the edge of the button. The back of the button exhibits the design in reverse relief, suggesting that it may have been press moulded…
