A miscast complete lead or lead alloy probable spindle whorl, of Roman to Post Medieval dating (AD 43 - AD1650). In plan it is sub-circular and sub rectangular in cross section. Both faces has have six moulded raised circular pellets, located around a slightly off centre perforation, with raised rim. The perforation which has an internal diameter of 8.6 mm. The detail is more obvious on more side than the other, with flattening of the design occuring. The whorl has a diameter of 32.8 mm and is 12.2 mm thick. It weighs 67.3 g (2.37 oz). A complete lead or lead alloy flat spindle whorl, of Roman to Post Medieval dating (AD 43 - AD1650). The spindle whorl is sub circular in shape, and rectangular in cross section. The central hole is sub circular in shape and has been cast slightly off central. The internal diameter of the hole measures 7.8 mm wide. Both the upper and lower faces are flat. Neither face is decorated. The whorl has a diameter of 23.6 mm and is 8.8 mm thick. It weighs 25.4 g (0.89 oz). The whorl is of a light to mid grey colour, with an even surface patina. A complete lead or lead alloy die, of Roman to Post Medieval dating (AD 43 to AD 1700). The die is cuboid in shape, with six sides. The spots have been drilled in a regular manner, with pips (dots) on opposing faces adding up to a total of seven (7). 5 is opposite 6.. 4 is opposite 1. 3 is opposite 2. The die measures 11.0 mm in length, 11.3 mm wide and 11.2 mm thick. It weighs 11.0 grams. The die is a light to mid grey colour, with an even surface patina.
