An incomplete probable tankard handle or vessel fitting, of probable Late Iron Age dating (c. 500 BC to 100 AD). The probable fitting is semi-circular in shape, with the flat edge at the top. The reverse of the fitting is undecorated and smooth. The front of the fitting has a symmetrical design. To either side of the central ridge, are an inward facing curve. These curves join together at the top to form a pelta type shape. Edges are incomplete but patinated. It measures 25.1 mm in length, 25.4 mm wide and 6.9 mm thick. It weighs 11.1 g. A complete copper alloy terminal or strap end of probable Post Medieval dating (AD 1650 to AD 1800). The piece consists of a short rectangular plate, rebated on one side, from the top of which emerges a thick bifurcated terminal. Each prong is twisted towards it tip giving the appearance of rams' horns. There is a deep groove on one side, the rebated surface, within the central V shape created by the terminal. An incomplete cast copper alloy handle from a tankard, of probable Post Medieval to Modern dating (16th to 18th Centuries AD). Less than 25% of the handle is present, consisting of the top or bottom only. It is sub triangular in plan and section. The exterior is domed, and tapers to an incomplete circular sectioned handle. The reverse has a concave triangular shaped void, with traces of solder present on the surface. It measures 37.92 mm in length, with a maximum width of 19.23 mm and is 10.36 mm thick. An incomplete cast copper alloy possible thumb rest from a drinking vessel (probably a tankard) of Post Medieval dating (c.1650 - c.1750 AD). The thumb rest is right angled or L shaped in both plan and section. It consists of a flat base with bifurcated end (triple pronged), with an upright sub oval shaped handle. Cast decoration consisting of V shapes are present along the edges. A circular perforation (hole) is present at the top.
