A complete silver conical aiglet or lace tag. The aiglet is hollow. It has a rounded blunt tip. The seam butts up against each other. The socket is full of soil and other organic material. The top edge is incomplete with notches removed from it.  The top has been decorated with a horizontal triple groove running parallel to the top. The triple groove is formed of a thin groove top and bottom and a wider one in between. A complete copper alloy lace tag or aiglet, of Post Medieval to Modern dating (AD 1600 to AD 1800). The tag consists of a conical tube, open at the wider end and a collared ball head terminal at the other. A hole, with an internal diameter of 1.8 mm has been drilled through opposed sites. A longitudinal crack in the sheet metal, resembles a seam, and runs alongside one of the holes. Remains of organic material are present inside the aiglet.
