A complete gilded silver signet finger ring. The bezel is circular. The device consists of a crown above two initials in black letter script. The initials are ‘dh’. The device is within a beaded border, with chevrons pointing inwards. The hoop has been decorated with a twisted rope effect. This has been created by cleared spaced indented lines. Description: Straightened silver finger-ring, very damaged. Between engraved parallel lines on the edge of the hoop is the inscription in Roman capitals LIV+IN+ [blank with what looks like an I with a cross bar on the middle left] OPE. A complete cast copper alloy finger ring of Roman date, circa AD43-200. The ring is 'stirrup shaped' with a D-sectioned hoop expanding towards the shoulders, which flares into an oval bezel. The shape of the ring falls within Guiraud Type 2g. The setting contains red enamel with a slightly raised 'III' surrounded by a curving line. The design is catagorised by Daubney as Group 5d. Dimensions: The hoop has an external diameter of 19.44mm. From the outside of the bezel to the back of the hoop is 19.66mm. The bezel is 6.64mm wide. The ring weighs 2.2g.

A complete cast copper alloy, probable finger ring, of probable Roman dating (AD 43 to 410). The finger ring consists of a sub rectangular strip of copper alloy sheet metal, with tapered ends, folded into a sub circular shape, with the tapered ends meeting. The finger ring is plain and undecorated on both sides. The probable finger ring measures 18.09 mm in length, 11.54 mm wide and 12.76mm high. The metal is 1.55 mm thick. It weighs 4.2 grams. The probable finger ring is a mid to dark green colour, with an even surface patina.
