A complete copper alloy finger ring, of probable Roman dating (4th Century AD). The finger ring is polygonal in shape, with eight external facets (octagonal). The hoop has an circular cross section. The facets are flat. Each one is 10.8 m in length. No decoration is present on any facet. The finger ring has a 21.4 mm external diameter, 18.0 mm internally. The hoop is 2.2 mm thick and 1.6 mm wide. It weighs 0.9 g. The finger ring is a mid to dark green colour with an even surface patina. A complete gold finger ring, of Late Roman dating (Later 2nd to 3rd Centuries AD). The bezel is sub oval, with no trace of an intaglio setting. The shoulders of the ring are triangular or shield shaped, with a horizontal groove underneath, separating the shoulder from the hoop. The hoop has a rectangular cross section. An incomplete silver finger ring of Roman date, probably 3rd Century AD. Around 25% of the finger ring is present, consisting of part of the bezel, a shoulder and the start of the hoop. The bezel was originally rectangular in shape, with a recessed border around the edge. The end part of the inscription is present, consisting of the letters 'MT'. An incomplete silver finger ring, of Late Roman dating (Later 2nd to 3rd Centuries AD). Around 50% of the finger ring is present, consisting of the bezel and part of the hoop. The intaglio is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The bezel is rectangular, with an oval intaglio setting positioned centrally. A complete cast silver finger ring with intaglio, of Roman datin (2nd to 3rd Centuries AD). The finger ring, sub-oval in plan, is a small example of Henig Type II. It has an oval hoop of D-shaped cross-section and smooth rounded shoulders, with an intaglio recessed in the centre of the flat bezel. The intaglio, a tiny oval carnelian, is set with its upper flat face a little proud of the bezel. One end of the gem is damaged, making it harder to identify the subject of the engraved image, which appears to show a two-tiered device flanked by ?cornucopiae or similar. The ring has an…

An incomplete silver finger ring, of Roman dating (43 AD to 410 AD). The ring is incomplete, missing an inset intaglio (oval setting), but is otherwise in good condition. The ring is D shaped in section. The ring is no longer circular in plan, being squashed out of shape, and is now oval in shape. It measures 21.29mm tall, 26.98mm wide, 13.18 thick at the bezel, 3.88mm thick at the base of the hoop and the hoop is 3.42mm thick. It weighs 10.7 grams. The ring has been reported as Treasure, being older than 300 years with a precious metal (silver) content of greater than 10%.
