A complete gold and rock crystal finger ring, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD1700). The finger ring has a distorted hoop of 'D-shaped' section, widening from the back to the bezel. Each shoulder is decorated by three longitudinal V shaped grooves, the outer ones bend inwards just above a short horizontal groove. A short longitudinal groove is present just below this line. A complete copper alloy finger ring, of probable Roman dating (4th Century AD). The finger ring is polygonal in shape, with eight external facets (octagonal). The hoop has an circular cross section. The facets are flat. Each one is 10.8 m in length. No decoration is present on any facet. The finger ring has a 21.4 mm external diameter, 18.0 mm internally. A complete silver stirrup finger ring, of Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1400). The finger ring has a D shaped hoop. The hoop rises to a flat topped pointed bezel. A gem is set into the bezel with a plain setting. The gem is oval. Under magnification, it is possible to see pitting and a conchoidal fracture in the surface of the gem, suggesting that it is probably glass as opposed to a gemstone.
