An incomplete gilded silver stirrup finger ring, of Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1400).
The finger ring has a flat hoop. The finger ring was originally adjustable, with the hoop split in two. One side of the hoop is complete with an rounded end, the other exhibits an old square break. The shoulders have been decorated with a two strand twisted rope or guilloche design, with a Z twist to it. with The hoop rises to a pointed bezel. The finger ring is set with a false stone, which was cast in one with the hoop. The false stone has a diameter of 3.5 mm and rises 2.6 mm above the beze…
