A complete gold and gem finger ring, of Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1500).
The finger ring comprises an integral cylindrical bezel and a rectangular sectioned hoop. The shoulders are rectangular in shape, decorated with five parallel engraved grooves on one side and six grooves on the other. The shoulders 3.4 mm wide and 1.8 mm long. At the shoulders, the hoop is 3.0 mm wide and 1.1 mm thick. The hoop gradually reduces in width until it is 1.8 mm wide and 1.1 mm thick at the back of the finger ring.
