An incomplete copper-alloy centre-looped cosmetic pestle of Late Iron Age or Roman dating (AD 1 - 200). The pestle is crescent-shaped, but only shallowly curved. The tips of the pestle taper to a blunt point. One tip is incomplete. There is a central loop handle and suspension point. It is an integral circular hole with an internal diameter of 5.5 mm and an external diameter of 10.8 mm. A rectangular knop is present at the top of the loop.
