AN incomplete copper alloy probable pin of probable Late Post medieval to Early Modern dating (1700 to 1900). The pin consists of a square sectioned shank with a circular head. The head has a circular hole, with an internal diameter of 3.5 mm. Threaded onto the pin, beneath the head is an incomplete piece of pressed decorative copper alloy metal. An incomplete copper alloy Irish halfcrown of James II (AD 1685 to AD 1691), issued as part of the 'Brass Money' or 'Gunmoney' coinage, in AD 1690 (March) at either the Dublin or Limerick mint. Spink, p168, no 6579. Diameter: 31.8 mm Thickness: 2.7 mm Weight: 8.4 g These were official tokens issued in Ireland when James was attempting to recover the English throne and and were supposed to be exchanged for silver coins of equivalent value. They were made from old cannon, bells and scrap metal. James failed in his attempt and the coins were never exchanged.

A complete cast copper alloy book clasp, of probable Medieval dating (12th to 15th Centuries AD). The book clasp consists of a sub rectangular sheet of copper alloy metal, bent back on itself, with ornate cut edges. The front exhibits a central domed area, with the remnants of two iron rivets on the left hand side. A series of V shaped notches have been cut along the edges to create a decorative edge.
