An incomplete lead alloy or tin alloy end cap from a whistle, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1500 to AD 1800). Around 25% of the whistle is present, consisting only of the end cap. The rest of the whistle is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The end cap is flattened, originally it would have been circular in shape. A suspension loop has been set at right angles to the body of the whistle. It has a circular hole, with an internal diameter of 2.5 mm. An incomplete silver, probable huntsman's whistle, of Early Post Medieval dating (16th to early 17th Century AD). Approximately 25% of the whistle is present, consisting of part of the central tubular section (now pressed flat) and the suspension loop. It is sub-rectangular in shape, with tapering sides. The cross-section is sub-rectangular. Five sides are finely smoothed, with one edge demonstrating a rough fracture. An incomplete whetstone or hone, of uncertain dating, but probably Roman to Post Medieval (AD 43 to AD 1800). The whetstone is sub rectangular in plan, and triangular in section. It has been made from a fine grained sedimentary sandstone or siltstone. An old diagonal break along the length is present on the reverse, giving the whetstone fragment the triangular shape. A figure of eight shaped perforation is present at the top, indicating that it had been created by the use of a drill on either side. A complete dolorite whetstone, of uncertain dating but probably Neolithic to Modern (3,300 BC to AD 1900). Top and bottom of the whetstone are pointed oval shapes, whereas the sides are more boat shaped, with one end taller than the other. The upper surface of the whetstone is an elognated pointed oval shape, with a sloping surface. Polishing is present on the surface, along with multiple parallel striations. It has two stamped marks on the top surface, a quartered shield of London (with sword in first quarter) and a ewer for the Founders' Company. File marks are present on the reverse. The shield of London was used from 1826. The weight measures 15.88 mm in diameter, 2.74 mm thick and weighs 2.7 g (0.10 oz). The weight is a mid to dark green colour, with an even surface patina.
