A complete cast copper alloy, probable corner brace or staple, probably from a box, of probable Medieval dating (13th to 17th Centuries AD). The brace is L shaped in plan. The long edge has a rectangular section and has a blunt, rounded terminal. The short edge has a circular section, and has a sharp point. The brace is a mid to dark green colour, with an even surface patina. It measures 25.59mm in length, 19.65mm wide and 4.65mm thick. It weighs 2.7 grams. However, due to the lack of context and continuation of casting styles, this fragment could be dated from the Bronze Age through to the Post Medieval Period (c.2150 BC - 1700 AD). An incomplete cast copper alloy artefact of uncertain dating and function. The artefact consists of a circular sectioned handle, with incomplete tip. The base of the handle has been decorated with a raised collar, and then an oval swelling. The top of the artefact is incomplete and has the remains of four curved arms. A complete but heavily worn, cast copper alloy probable coin weight of uncertain denomination and dating. The coin weight is circular in plan, and rectangular in cross section. One side appears to have a standing figure holding left arm up and the other, possibly a Roman style standard. The coin weight is a mid to dark green colour, with an even surface patina. Abrasion, caused by movement in the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of surface detail. It measures 12.00mm in diameter and 2.57mm thick. It weighs 1.7 grams.
