A complete openwork strap fitting of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1300 to AD 1600). The strap fitting is 'egg' or ovoid in shape. It has a lys in the centre, with a triangular spike beneath, within an oval border. The outer border is formed of pellets. A triangular knop is present at the top. Two incomplete integral attachment spikes are present on the reverse. Each of them have a rectangular cross section. The reverse is plain and undecorated. A complete hand made twisted gold wire, probable finger ring, of uncertain dating. The probable finger ring has been made from two lengths of gold wire twisted together. The ends have been solded together. Due to post depositional pressure, the finger ring is no longer circular, but more ovoid (egg) shaped.
