The majority of the brooch is missing and only the lower part of the bow and part of catch plate remains. An incomplete copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch dating to c.AD 110-350. See Mackreth (2011) TR 2.2d Plate 87 no.9991. The brooch is comprised of a triangular sectioned head that is marked by a central arris which spreads to form a shallow head. Integral to the top of the head is a complete circular headloop that is 6.2mm in internal diameter. Below the headloop on the reverse is the double lug for pin attachment.
