An incomplete lock escutcheon from a piece of furniture, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1700 to AD 1800). The lock escutcheon is irregular in shape, but with a flat cross section. Iron corrosion products do obscure the surface. The lock escutcheon has a pelta shape above with a sunburst stamp on a it. The lock escutcheon is irregular in shape, with a semi-circular top with a squared lys terminal at the base. It measures 46.4 mm in length, 49. 8 mm wide and 10.3 mm thick. It weighs 31.9 g.
