A complete machine pressed silver mount, probably from a box or piece of furniture, of probable Late Post Medieval to Early Modern dating. The mount is rectangular in plan. The front exhibits two circular domed areas as decoration. Both of them are slightly crumpled / depressed, due to soil pressure. The reverse is plain and undecorated. An incomplete iron mount is present on the reverse. It is not possible to identify the original shape of the mount. It measures 34.96 mm in length, 24.67 mm wide and 8.80 mm thick. It weighs 8.6 g.
