A complete copper alloy single looped D-shaped buckle, of Medieval dating (AD 1250 to AD 1500). The buckle frame is complete, the pin and the buckle plate are missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The loop is sub oval in plan, with a thickened and expanded outside edge. The strap bar is narrowed and off set. Knops are present at either end of the strap bar. The knops have been decorated with a couple of engraved horizontal lines. An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of Medieval date, circa AD1250-1400. The buckle frame and pin are complete. Less than 50% of the plate survives. Buckle frame consists of an single-looped oval frame with two lobed knops, providing constriction for a triple grooved sheet roller. The pin is made from a D-sectioned piece of wire wrapped around the central bar. The pin terminates in a blunt point. An incomplete cast copper alloy double looped oval (spectacle) buckle frame of Post Medieval dating (AD 1550 to AD 1650). Approximately 50% of the buckle frame is present. The pin and the buckle plate are missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The buckle frame is broadly sub-rectangular in plan with a slight integrally cast central bar to which a pin would have been attached.
