A complete lead alloy weight, probably from a net or line of unknown dating, probably Medieval to Modern in dating (AD 1200 - AD 1900). The weight is sub-cylindrical, with a central swelling. A single circular shaped hole is set off centre with an internal diameter of 3.6 mm. It measures 14.6 mm in length and has a diameter of 18.2 mm. It weighs 24.6 g (0.87 oz). A complete lead or lead alloy bi convex decorated spindle whorl, of probable Medieval dating (AD 1100 to AD 1450). The spindle whorl is sub circular in shape, and lentoid in section. Both the upper and lower faces have been decorated with the raised decoration. This decoration consists of a raised outer rim, a five pointed star, with five large pellets located inbetween the points, and four smaller pellets positioned on the arms of the star. The weight is conical in shape, with faceted sides. The remains of an iron suspension loop is present in the top of the weight. A recess is present in the base.
