It has four sub square roundels, spaced evenly around the frame at the cardinal points. They are not raised above the height of the frame. They have been decorated with a series of diagonal cross hatching, almost like an acorn shell. The back of the brooch is undecorated but exhibits filemarks. The legend reads: +SECRETUM: ACE: The final two letters are less distinct and the border between the legend and the intaglio is unevenly finished. The body fragment is sub trapezoidal in plan and triangular in cross section. A horizontal ridge is present on the exterior of the vessel, whereas the internal surface is smooth. A complete gold and gem finger ring, of Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1500). The finger ring comprises an integral cylindrical bezel and a rectangular sectioned hoop. The shoulders are rectangular in shape, decorated with five parallel engraved grooves on one side and six grooves on the other. The shoulders 3.4 mm wide and 1.8 mm long. At the shoulders, the hoop is 3.0 mm wide and 1.1 mm thick. The hoop gradually reduces in width until it is 1.8 mm wide and 1.1 mm thick at the back of the finger ring. The pendant is in the form of a fleur-de-lis with an expanded projection from the upper petal which acts as a suspension loop.
