An incomplete copper alloy brooch, of Early Medieval dating (AD 600 to AD 900). Around 25% of the brooch is present, consisting of part of the bow and an incomplete head plate. The head plate is now semi circular in plan, with abraded edges. Traces of diagonal ridges radiating outwards from the bow are present, but the rest of the decorative detail has been obscured. An incomplete probable saucer brooch of Early Early Medieval dating (6th to 7th Century AD). Around 25% of the brooch is present, and probably had an original rim diameter of 8 cm. The brooch has suffered from a degree of post depositional damage and is slightly bent. The edge of the brooch still extends upwards at an obtuse angle, but the main saucer part of the brooch is no longer flat but slightly bowed. The reverse of the brooch is plain and undecorated. A complete gilded copper alloy zoomorphic mount, of Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) dating (6th Century AD). The cast copper-alloy, openwork mount is in the form of a stylised bird of prey, shown in profile, crouched over and gripping a serpent. It dates to the early Anglo-Saxon period. The eyeless head and beak, claw, lappet wing and serpent are gilded. For contrast, the neck/body and fantail are silvered (?tinned).
