A probable incomplete cast copper alloy foot / leg from a copper alloy cooking vessel of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (1400 - 1700 AD). The vessel fragment is sub rectangular in plan and semi circular in cross section. It consists of a curved body, with an irregular rough surface, both at the back, top and bottom. This surface is probably the result of a flaw during the casting process, resulting in fracture of the leg during use in the fire. It is a dark green colour. A complete cast copper alloy double loop oval buckle frame, of late Medieval dating (c.1400 to 1600 AD). The buckle frame consists of a double looped oval buckle frame, with bevelled edges to the frame. The pin and strap plate are not present. The edges of the buckle frame are raised higher than the central bar. The buckle is a mid dark green to brown, with an uneven surface patina. Abrasion has resulted in the loss of surface detail and patina from the edges and flat surfaces. The buckle frame measures 23.77mm in length, 19.70mm wide and 2.32mm thick. It weighs 2.3 grams. …
