A complete cast lead or lead alloy bi-convex decorated spindle whorl, of Medieval dating (1100 - 1450 AD). The spindle whorl is sub circular in plan, and lentoid in cross section. The upper face has been decorated with a large number of raised pellets, arranged in an approximate circular pattern. It has been formed from rolling up a small sheet of lead. The seam is present running along the length of the weight. It is a light to mid grey colour, with an even surface patina. The pipe fragment consists of an almost complete bowl. A horizontal line is present, running parallel to the rim edge. The rim of the bowl has been damaged.
