An incomplete copper alloy finger ring, of possible Roman dating (AD 43 to AD 410). Less than 50% of the finger ring is present, consisting only of the bezel and the start of the shoulders. The bezel is circular in shape, with faceted sides. On top, a soldier standing facing, holding spear or vertical sceptre in left hand. The reverse of the bezel has a horizontal groove positioned centrally. The shoulders extend downwards and the hoop of the ring appears to have had a flat cross section. A complete gold possible finger ring, of probable Post Medieval to Modern dating (AD 1700 to AD 1900). The possible finger ring is rectangular in section and would have originally been circular in plan. It is now sub oval in plan. The hoop has been decorated with eight circular pits (now full of soil), that may have originally held something. Each pit has a diameter of 1.5 mm. Multiple vertical filemarks are present on the interior surface of the ring. The original diameter of the ring can not be determined due to it being misshapen. The probable finger ring consists of a D-section length of copper alloy metal twisted into a spiral. Both ends terminated in a square end with rounded corners. No makers' marks are present on the interior or exterior. It has an exterior diameter of 29.9 mm, an interior diameter of 21.1 mm. In total it is 13.7 mm wide. A complete gold finger ring, of mid 19th Century dating. The finger ring is sub circular in plan, and D shaped in section.The exterior of the band is plain. Hallmarks and a maker's mark are present on the inside of the finger ring. The hallmarks consist of a lion rampart, an anchor, the date letter and a duty mark. The date letter is unclear but probably a D in a square cartouch with cut corners. The maker's mark consists of the initials W F.
