A near complete copper-alloy and enamelled Early-Medieval buckle, dating from circa AD 700-800. The object is broadly an inverted triangle in plan with an incomplete circular projection at the tip. The main body of the buckle then expands to the opposing upper edge which features two incomplete triangular projections on either corner. An incomplete lead alloy (white metal) buckle frame with moulded decoration, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1700 to AD 1800). Around 25% of the buckle frame is present, consisting of a curved frame, with a flat cross section. The upper, slightly concave surface is covered with moulded floral decoration. The reverse is flat and undecorated. It measures 45.4 mm in length, 21.5 mm wide and 3.8 mm thick. It weighs 14.2 g. An incomplete silver plated copper alloy buckle frame of Late Post Medieval to Early Modern dating (AD 1700 to AD 1900). The buckle frame has broken into three joining fragments. The frame has been drilled for a separate spindle, now missing. The buckle frame is rectangular with rounded corners. An incomplete copper alloy strap plate or strap end of the Medieval period, dating from c. AD 1200 - c. AD 1500. Around 50% of the plate is present, consisting an incomplete folded sheet of copper alloy metal. Neither top or bottom plate are complete, the only original edge is the fold. The base of the chape has concave sides before terminating in another probable hinge. A maker's mark is present beneath the sharp point on the obverse.
