The domed head is undecorated apart from a concentric circle around the base of the head. The back is flat. A scar is present where the shank should have been. It has a diameter of 17.9 mm and is 11.2 mm thick. It weighs 11.1 g. The button is a dark green colour with an even surface patina. Some iron corrosion products are present on the surface.

It measures 21.6 mm in length, 3.6 mm wide and 8.5 mm thick. It weighs 0.8 g. The catch plate is a mid green colour with an even surface patina. Triangular catch plates are common to many different styles of brooch, mostly likely Roman in date.
