The pipe fragment consists of an incomplete bowl and part of the stem. No maker's marks are present on the spur, bowl or stem. The rim of the bowl is incomplete. The clay pipe measures 27.4 mm high. It has a surviving length of 21.3mm. The wall of the clay pipe bowl is 3.0 mm thick. The internal diameter of the bore through the stem measures 1.6 mm It weighs 3.5 grams.

An incomplete clay pipe (smoking) of early to mid seventeenth century AD dating (AD 1620 to AD 1660). Most of the bowl survives, but the rim is incomplete. The bowl is slightly bulbous and curves upwards at an angle of 45 degrees. A circular foot is present with a maker's mark depicting the initials HH within a beaded border. Only a small part of the stem survives. It measures 57.2 mm in length, 27.0 mm tall and the bowl has a maximum diameter of 19.2 mm.
