The harness pendant consists of a broadly square shaped design, with two indentations in each side, forming an eight pronged design. The ornate outer edge of a oval buckle, typically dating to c.1250 to 1400 AD. The find consists of the ornate outer edge of a cast copper alloy single looped oval buckle. The rest of the frame has been broken off in antiquity. It consists of four knops, with three prominent grooves separating them. The central groove would have acted as the rest for the buckle pin. An unusual variant of a cast copper alloy bow and fantail brooch, dating to the Early Roman period (1st to 2nd Centuries AD (1 AD - 200 AD)). Approximately 50% of the brooch is present, consisting of the head, bow and foot plate. The pin is missing. The head consists of a trumpet variation. It is 14.63 mm wide, and 7.70 mm thick.
