An incomplete silver, probable huntsman's whistle, of Early Post Medieval dating (16th to early 17th Century AD). Approximately 25% of the whistle is present, consisting of part of the central tubular section (now pressed flat) and the suspension loop. The central section has been made from a piece of silver sheet, with impressed decoration. The section has been soldered lengthways, with the suspension loop added afterwards and soldered in place. The exterior has been bevelled, with a small ridge on the edge. The interior surface has sharp angled ridges on both edges, probably to hold it in place. No decoration or hallmarks are present.
