The weight is sub-circular in plan and sub-triangular shaped (conical) in cross section. The exterior surface is uneven and abraded; there is no evidence of cast or applied decoration. An irregular cast hole is present at the top of the weight. The ends of an iron rod are present half way down the sides, this would have presumably aided suspension. The base of the weight is irregular, with the remains of a stamped impression, with a crown above and two suns below.

Both the front and reverse exhibit the same decoration. it consists of a central ring and dot, surrounded by six semi circles with a central pellet. The sherd is 12.09mm thick and weighs 8.8 grams. It is 36.67mm wide and 23.85mm long.
The sherd has an oxidised fabric, with frequent small charcoal like inclusions. Traces of a green glaze are present on the exterior of the sherd. The fabric and the glazing is indicative of a local (unsourced) Medieval jug fabric, probably from the Worcestershire area. Looking at the profile of the sherd, it is possible that it is part of the base of a jug type vessel.

The largest fragment has a length of 77.9 mm, is 30.7 mm wide and 2.3 mm thick. It weighs 23.6 g. The smallest fragment has a length of 31.5 mm, a width of 30.7 mm and is 2.3 mm thick. It weighs 10.5 g. Together both fragments weigh 34.1 g.
The two fragments are probably from the same cooking vessel. No decoration is present on either surfrace. No rims or bases are present, so the vessel diameter can not be estimated.
