An incomplete copper alloy single looped D shaped buckle frame, of medieval dating (c. AD 1350 to AD 1450). The buckle frame is broadly D shaped, with a D shape cross section. At the centre of the frame, a pin rest is present made from a single U shaped groove. Two flanking smaller grooves to either side as decoration. Two further diagonal grooves are present on the shoulders, also as decoration. Another diagonal groove is present at the corners next to the incomplete strap bar. The buckle frame is rectangular in plan, and d-shaped in section.The frame has been decorated with moulded transverse and diagonal grooves on sides and end of the frame. The reverse is undecorated.
