A complete cast or deep drawn silver domed thimble, with maker's mark, of Early Modern Dating (19th Century onwards).
The thimble is of a domed type, similar to that known as Dutch or English type III, manufactured between 1730 and 1800 (Holmes, 1988). It consists of straight sides, and a domed top. The sides are covered by a series of circular indentations, each with a surrounding rim, positioned in horizontal rows. It looks hand made as opposed to machine made as the indentation rows do not always match up. The base of the thimble is decorated by a narrow rouletted band.

An incomplete cast / stamped silver circular mount, of probable Post Medieval dating (18th Century).
The mount can be described in two parts: the head and the shank.
The head was circular in plan, but now has one edge folded towards the back of the mount. The design on the front consists of a central circle with two borders. A silver half groat of Henry VII, minted in Canterbury, (jointly with Archbishop Morton?) between 1486-1500. There is no M in the centre of the reverse and it has been been clipped. The initial mark is a Tun. It has a double arched crown. No stops are legible so it can not be determined whether it is Class IIIa/IIIb or IIIc. It is similar to North type 1712 (volume 2, page 102).
