An incomplete sheet silver, probable ferrule, possibly from a walking stick or a similar artefact, probably of Modern dating (AD 1800 to AD 1900).
The artefact consists of sheet silver folded into a flat rectangle, and now squashed flat, and partially folded in half. Decoration is present on both sides. At the top is an ellipse (or pointed oval) with a pellet border, and vertical lines to either side. At the both is a eight petalled flower, with semi circles in each corner. Engraved zig zags are present down each side. No hallmarks appear to be present.

The artefact consists of two pieces of sheet silver folded into a flat rectangle. One has been slid inside the other. Decoration is present on both sides, consisting of an eight petalled flower in the centre, with semi circles in each corner. Engraved zig zags are present down each side. No hallmarks appear to be present.
It measures 32.1 mm in length, 14.9 mm wide and 6.0 mm thick. It weighs 5.7 g.
