A Complete copper alloy (bronze) socketed axe of Sompting type and of Early Iron Age dating (c. 800-600 BC)
The axehead is complete (with an overall length of 123.3 mm and a weight of 386.4 g). The mouth is sub-rectangular (45.0 mm long and 41.9 mm wide). The socket is rectangular (29.2 mm wide, 28.0 mm long and 95.8 mm deep). The mouth moulding has a well-defined rectangular step (9.7 mm long) with a prominent step to the face. An incomplete zoomorphic mount of probable Late Iron Age to Early Roman dating (100 BC to 200 AD).
The mount is sub triangular in shape and plan. It consists of a sitting bird or chicken. The beak is downturned. The eyes are marked by a circular punch. A C shaped circular punch is positioned just behind the eye. A ridge is present along the top of the head, indicating a crest. A complete copper alloy strap distributor of Iron Age dating (100 BC to 100 AD).
The strap distributor is of an openwork design with a rectangular loop to either side and two joining crescents in the middle. No enamel is visible.
It measures 40.5 mm in length, is 32.3 mm wide and a maximum of 7.0 mm thick. It weighs 15.7 g.
The strap distributor is a dark green colour with an even surface patina. Abrasion caused by movement whilst within the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of some of the original surface detail.

An incomplete copper-alloy (bronze) cast horse harness fitting or strap distributor, dating from the late Iron age to the early Roman period ( c.50BC-AD50).
The object comprises three connected openwork trefoil rings (of which two survives intact) and a probable central motif of a horses head projecting 90 degrees from the centre of the object. The complete rings have an internal diameter of 9.7 mm and 8.8 mm. A incomplete enamelled harness fitting of probable late Iron Age dating (100 BC to 100 AD).
The harness fitting is an irregular shape, almost comma shaped, with a rounded head and a squared tail. The upper surface is flat, with five panels of enamel decoration. The rounded head has three enamel panels, each a lentoid or pointed oval shape, creating a triskele shape between them. A complete copper alloy terret ring or harness fitting of the Late Iron Age to Early Roman period, dating from c. BC 150 - c. AD 100.
The ring is circular in plan and broadly circular in section. It is convex on the outside edge and flattened slightly on the inner edge. The ring is heavily abraded all over the surface, but abrasion is less on the inner edge. There is no further decoration on the surface of the object.

An incomplete copper-alloy probable 'fob' or 'dangler', of Late Iron Age to Early Roman dating (200 BC to AD 100)
The piece consists of a flat-sectioned triskele style design. A triangle with inward curving sides is present at the centre. Around the outside, joined to each apex are a pair of crescents, one curving inwards and the other curving outwards. Iron corrosion products are visible in the centre of the triangle, indicating that the suspension point extended from the centre. An incomplete cast copper alloy openwork decorated fob / dangler of Late Iron Age to Early Roman dating (100 BC to 100 AD).
Approximately 25% of the fob is present, consisting of the suspension loop and part of two arms. The frame and the rest of the four arms are missing, presumed lost in antiquity.

An incomplete copper alloy Langton down type brooch of late Iron Age to early Roman dating (AD 25 to AD 60).
Around 25% of the brooch is present, consisting of part of the bow, and the spring.
