An incomplete copper alloy, probable domed or spherical artefact, of uncertain form and function, but probably of 11th Century AD dating. The fragment has a cruciform shape, with a concave undecorated reverse. The front has a central raised section, with four ring and dot punched designs, each one positioned at the junction between the 'arms'. A complete copper alloy Stirrup Strap Mount, of Late Saxon dating (11th Century AD). The stirrup strap mount is sub triangular in shape and irregular in cross section. The front exhibits one (1) attachment holes: positioned centrally at the apex of the mount. An incomplete copper alloy stirrup terminal, of Late Early Medieval dating (11th Century AD). The stirrup terminal is sub triangular in shape, with a hollow back. The back still contains the original lead solder, which would have been used to secure the terminal onto the iron stirrup. A projecting ledge is present at the base, which would have supposted the extermities of the foot plate of the stirrup. An incomplete copper alloy head from a hair pin, of Early Medieval dating (AD 700 to AD 900). The hair pin consists of the head. The shank is missing. The head is similar to that of Cool's Group 15 type (Cool, 1990, 164), consisting of a cube shaped head, covered by diamond and triangular shaped facets (Orthorhombic shape). Less than 25% of the brooch is present, and consists of a small rim section of a plate style brooch. Part of the spring is present on the back of the fragment. An incomplete copper alloy strap distributor or harness link, of Late Early Medieval dating (AD 1000 to AD 1100). Probably 25% of the strap distributor is present, consisting of one of probably four arms remaining. The rest were probably lost in antiquity. The remaining arm has a lozenge shaped terminal, with a central oval shaped perforation (13.3 mm by 9.4 mm). The terminal has knops on three outer points.
