An incomplete copper alloy pin of Early Medieval dating (AD 720 to AD 850). The pin consists of a globular head with eleven (11) spiralling grooves around the surface. This is often referred to as 'Wrythen' style. A small circular depression is present at the top of the head. A small circular collar is present at the base of the head. The shaft is incomplete, with the tip missing. It has a circular cross section. A narrowing is present at one point on the shaft, but this is probably post mortem damage, which has resulted in a lateral bend in the shaft. The pin measures 49.0 m…

An incomplete copper alloy linked pin set, of Middle Anglo-Saxon dating (8th Century AD). Only the central circular pin head survives out of the set of three. It has been decorated with a quartered design. In the centre of each quarter is a spiral of three feathered tendrils. The tendrils curl outwards, two connect with the neighbouring quarters, the third into the outer border. In the corners are triangles. An incomplete enamelled copper alloy hanging bowl bird escutcheon, of Early medieval dating (AD 600 to AD 800). The escutcheon has an irregular shape. At the top, is an incomplete circular sectioned loop or hook. Two ridges are present at the end, which is an old break. Below this, a rectangular body, with sub rectangular wings projecting to either side. This has created a bird like shape. A complete lead or lead alloy, zoomorphic (bird) possible die stamp or probable casting spillage, of possible Early Medieval dating (AD 410 - AD 1066). The probable casting spillage is irregular in plan, and rectangular in section. The front has a raised design, consisting of a bird standing on two legs, with the head and beak to the left side of the body, and tail outstretched behind. 15 fragments of at least one and perhaps two plated disc brooches, of early Early-Medieval dating (late 6th or early 7th century AD). The largest two fragments are semi-circular in shape.The front of each has filigree wire decoration and attached garnet cabochons. The filigree decoration has been done as a beaded wire along the edge of each piece as a border, with another line parallel to the border, in the middle of the piece, creating two arched bands.
