A complete cast copper alloy spherical / domed button, of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (15th to 16th Centuries AD). The button can be described in two parts: the head and the shank. The head is circular in plan and D shaped in cross section. The shank is sub rectangular in plan and rectangular / flat in cross section. The head is of the plain / domed / convex style, with no trace of decoration remaining. An incomplete cast lead or lead alloy button, of Post medieval dating (18th to 19th Centuries AD). The button is circular in plan, with raised symmetrical decoration on the front. A raised central pellet is present, with the rest of the design radiating from that. Eight diagonal rays extend from the centre, separating the button into eight segments. A complete copper alloy biconvex button, of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1550). The button can be described in two parts: The head and the shank. The head is biconvex in shape. The head has been made from four triangular plates with points folded into the centre, to form a hollow head. The shank consists of a circular sectioned piece of metal with a circular peforation (hole) located at the end.
