The weight is circular with a raised rim on the top of the weight. The top has been decorated with a series of concentric incised circles. No stamps or countermarks are visible. The base is plain and undecorated, apart from a recessed circular depression at the centre.

It has two stamped marks on the top surface, a quartered shield of London (with sword in first quarter) and a ewer for the Founders' Company. File marks are present on the reverse. The shield of London was used from 1826.
