A complete cast lead or lead alloy weight, of probable Medieval dating (1300 to 1550 AD). The weight is an irregular cone in plan, and triangular in profile / cross section. A length of thick iron wire has been inserted into the top of the weight (the flat surface of the cone), probably as a method of suspension. Iron corrosion products present have obscured the original shape of the probable suspension loop. No decoration is present on the weight. A complete lead alloy weight, probably from a net or line of unknown dating, probably Medieval to Modern in dating (AD 1200 - AD 1900). The weight is sub-cylindrical, with a central swelling. A single circular shaped hole is set off centre with an internal of diameter 9.7 mm. It measures 29.9 mm in length and has a diameter of 27.2 mm. It weighs 107.5 g (3.79 oz). It is a dark grey colour, with an uneven patina across the surface. Abrasion, caused by movement whilst within the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of some of the original surface.
