An incomplete cast copper alloy trebuchet or tumbrel-type folding coin balance, of Medieval dating (AD 1300 to AD 1450). Approximately 25% of the tumbrel is present, consisting of half of the vertical arm casing / hinge. The balance arm is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. At one end of the frame is a terminal in the form of an animal's head, nostrils are represented by recessed circular depressions. The muzzle and head are clearly represented.
