An incomplete silver finger ring, of Roman dating (43 AD to 410 AD). The ring is incomplete, missing an inset intaglio (oval setting), but is otherwise in good condition. The ring is D shaped in section. The ring is no longer circular in plan, being squashed out of shape, and is now oval in shape. It measures 21.29mm tall, 26.98mm wide, 13.18 thick at the bezel, 3.88mm thick at the base of the hoop and the hoop is 3.42mm thick. It weighs 10.7 grams. The ring has been reported as Treasure, being older than 300 years with a precious metal (silver) content of greater than 10%.

A complete but misshapen silver finger ring, with rectangular bezel engraved with initials 'H J S'. The hoop is plain, and the shoulders expand to the width of the bezel. Two rectangular boxes have been engraved on each shoulder. The finger ring has an external diameter of 20.14mm, internal of 18.47mm. The hoop is 2.81mm wide, and 0.81mm thick. A gem is set into the bezel with a plain setting. The gem is oval. Under magnification, it is possible to see pitting and a conchoidal fracture in the surface of the gem, suggesting that it is probably glass as opposed to a gemstone.
