An incomplete cast copper alloy signet finger ring, of Early Post Medieval dating (15th to 16th Centuries AD). The finger ring consists of an oval bezel, with part of the hoop. The hoop has a circular section and is incomplete. It extends 20.27mm below the bezel at the top part of the design and 17.53mm at the base of the design. The internal diameter of the ring is 20.21mm. The bezel is oval, with smooth tapered shoulders. It measures 20.88mm long by 15.75mm wide. The bezel is 3.91mm thick. A complete cast copper alloy finger ring, probably of Early Post Medieval dating (1500-1700). The hoop is D shaped in cross section, being rounded to the external (outside edge). The shoulders expand slightly into the rectangular flat bezel. The bezel measures 8.55mm in length, 5.60mm wide. Both the bezel and the hoop appear to be undecorated. The finger ring is a dark red / brown colour, with patches of a dark green surface patina present.
