An incomplete enamelled cast copper alloy buckle plate, of Medieval dating (AD 1100 to AD 1300).
The buckle plate is incomplete and consists only of the front plate. The back plate is missing, presumed lost in antiquity.
The buckle plate is sub rectangular in plan. It has been recessed for the plate, and a sub rectangular pin slot. A complete copper alloy double looped buckle frame, of Post Medieval dating (AD1600 to c. AD 1720).
The buckle is sub-rectangular in form and has rounded outer edges with central internal convex protrusions. There are slight spurs or knops projecting out from the sides of the frame just before each outer edge. The buckle is bevelled both externally and internally on the upper surface and is flat on the lower. The pin is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. No decoration is present on the front or reverse of the frame.

A complete copper alloy double loop oval buckle frame, of late Medieval dating (c. AD 1400 to AD 1600).
The buckle frame consists of a double looped oval buckle frame, with bevelled edges to the frame. The pin and strap plate are not present. The edges of the buckle frame are raised higher than the central bar. A triangular pin rest are present at the central point on each outer loop. Triangular knops are present at either end of the strap bar. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
The buckle frame measures 23.3 mm in length, 17.4 mm wide and 2.8 mm thick. It weighs 2.6 grams.

A complete copper alloy single loop sub rectangular buckle, of Early Post Medieval dating (AD1500 to AD 1650).
The buckle is sub-rectangular in form with an elaborate, expanded outer edge. Central on the outer edge is a notched from with an oval on ovoid knop. Curvilinear decoration has been engraved onto the front. The feet have loped knops on the end. The strap bar is recessed and circular in cross section. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The buckle plate is missing.
The buckle measures 35.9 mm in length, 24.5 mm wide and 6.7 mm thick. It weighs 7.3 g.

The buckle frame is trapezoidal in plan, with a drilled frame, for a separate spindle. The frame exhibits moulded decoration. Three lobed knops are present over each spindle hole. The pin rest moulding consists of four lobed knops. The pin is triangular in shape, with a transverse moulded ridge at its base and a blunt point. A complete copper alloy single looped oval buckle frame with a debased ornate outside edge style, typically of late 12th to late 14th Centuries AD.
It consists of a rectangular frame, with an narrow offset bar, with a recess for the leather strap. The pin is missing. The front of the buckle has moulded decoration, along the outside edge, the reverse is flat and undecorated. The decoration consists of five horizonal incised slits across the outer edge, with V shaped knops present at the top and bottom. It would appear to be a debased version of the ornate outside edge style.

Around 25% of the buckle frame is present, consisting of part of the decorative outer loop. The rest of the buckle frame is missing, presumed lost in antiquity.
The outer loop has a circular hole at the outer edge, flanked by two (one incomplete) oval holes. Moulded scrollwork decoration is present along the edge of the central loops.
