An incomplete cast copper alloy artefact, probably of Roman dating (1 to 410 AD). The artefact is sub square in section and hour glass (two triangles joined at the apex) shaped in section. It consists of a biconical shape above a cone shape. Both of these have had the sides facetted to make it appear squarer. Breaks are present both top and bottom, indicating that this was originally part of a larger object. It measures 12.92mm in length, 9.54mm wide and 8.85mm thick. It weighs 3.9 grams.
