An incomplete knife blade and tang, of possible Roman to Post Medieval dating (AD 43 to AD 1700). The blade is triangular in shape and extends to a rectangular-sectioned tang. The upper edge of the blade is almost flush with the upper edge of the tang. The lower edge of the blade, which tapers to a blunt and corroded edge is slightly curved. The tang tapers in width and depth to a blunt point. It measures 113.2 mm in length, 27.1 mm wide and 11.5 mm thick. It weighs 40.3 g. A complete iron axe or axehead, of probable Medieval dating (AD 1000 to AD 1500). The axe is broadly sub-rectangular in plan with an irregular shaped expanded blade that has a pronounced downward projection. The socket is sub circular in shape measuring 37.8 mm length x 27.3mm width. The butt of the axe is rectangular. As the blade expands in width it tapers in section; forming a wide even cutting edge. An incomplete wrought iron tanged arrowhead of Medieval dating (12th to 13th Centuries AD). The arrowhead has a triangular blade, with a lentoid cross section. The tang is circular sectioned and incomplete. The arrowhead is a mid brown colour, with an uneven surface patina. Abrasion, caused by movement whilst within the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of surface detail. There is minimal surface corrosion product (rust) present.
