The tile fragments consist of a local (unsourced) unglazed earthenware, with frequent fine quartz and grit inclusions, dating from the 11th to 15th Centuries AD. Together they weigh 121.2 g. An incomplete fragment of a handmade curved ceramic roof tile type, known as Imbrex, of Roman dating (1st to 4th Centuries AD). The tile fragment is sub triangular in plan, with a shallow curved cross section. The ceramic fabric is oxidised (orangey red colour), with frequent large grog & metamorphic rock inclusions. The tile fragment measures 43.26mm in length, 33.60mm wide and 13.29mm thick. It weighs 17.3 grams.
