An incomplete cast copper alloy padlock of Post Medieval date. The padlock is circular in plan and rectangular in section with two protruding lugs at the top which would have originally taken the bar, which is now missing. Iron corrosion around the lugs would suggest that the bar was originally made from iron. A rectangular plate is present, both on the front and the back, positioned longituditionally in the centre. Each plate has been decorated with two ring and dot motifs to either side of the central bar. The metal has a mid greyish-green patina and is worn. The padlock is 26.3 m…
