An incomplete cast copper-alloy lid for a set of nested cup weights, of Modern dating (18th to 19th Centuries AD). The underside of the lid consists of a circular base, with a raised rectangular rim around the edge. A double concentric circle has been incised into the base, with two smaller complete circles located at the top and bottom. Two circular perforations (internal diameter 1.58mm) are located towards the far edge, on the concentric circles. A line of three circular indentations / attachment scars are located on the other side, towards what may be the remnants of a hinge. …
