A small coin hoard / purse loss consisting of three (3) coins of Elizabeth I (1558-1603). It consists of two groats, both minted between 1560 and 1561 with a mintmark of cross crosslets, and a shilling also minted between 1560 and 1561 with a mintmark of a martlet.
The coins have been recorded separately as: LVPL-023DF0; LVPL-022CD8 and LVPL-01C2D2.
As the find consists of two or more precious metal coins (silver in this case), it is potentially classifed under the Treasure Act 1996 and has been reported to the local Coroner.

A medieval silver coin of Edward II (1307-27), probably of class 10cf3 (1307-9), minted at Canterbury.
The coin is mostly complete, but has been altered in two ways. The coin has been pierced through the top of the obverse above the crown (equating to the base of the long cross of the reverse), possibly in order that the coin could be suspended. A complete cast copper alloy skeuomorphic plate brooch, of Roman dating (2nd to 3rd Centuries AD). The plate brooch has been cast in the form of a swastika (a cross where the arms are bent in an L-shape, with the base of the legs orientated anti-clockwise). Each of the four arms has been decorated by a series of incised squares positioned at the end. A small circular impression has been positioned at the centre of the cross, possibly where a small gem or other form of decoration was attached.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy lid for a set of nested cup weights, of Modern dating (18th to 19th Centuries AD).
The underside of the lid consists of a circular base, with a raised rectangular rim around the edge. A double concentric circle has been incised into the base, with two smaller complete circles located at the top and bottom. Two circular perforations (internal diameter 1.58mm) are located towards the far edge, on the concentric circles. A line of three circular indentations / attachment scars are located on the other side, towards what may be the remnants of a hinge.

A complete cast copper alloy book clasp, of probable Medieval dating (12th to 15th Centuries AD).
The book clasp consists of a sub rectangular sheet of copper alloy metal, bent back on itself, with ornate cut edges. The front exhibits a central domed area, with the remnants of two iron rivets on the left hand side. A series of V shaped notches have been cut along the edges to create a decorative edge. The back is plain and undecorated, with a central circular perforation.
