An incomplete cast (or probably wrought) copper alloy strap end, of Medieval dating (13th to 14th Centuries AD). The strap end consists of a probable back plate of a composite strap end. The strap end is sub rectangular in plan, and flat in profile. The strap end has been constructed from two sets of paired plates, one set at the base and one set at the top. An incomplete cast copper alloy strainer, of Medieval to Post Medieval dating (1300 to 1600 AD). The fragment is irregular in plan and profile. It consists of a sheet of copper alloy metal with a series of irregularly spaced holes or perforations punched into it. Six (6) holes are present, all but one are full of soil or metal corrosion products. The empty hole has an internal perforation of 2.26mm. An incomplete carved red sandstone face, of possible Medieval dating (1350 to 1450 AD). The back is rough, and has probably been broken off a larger piece of stone. The face has almond shaped eyes, a triangular nose and a slit open mouth. There are remains of a possible beard around his chin, and a possible crown ontop of his head. It is similar in style to the face of St Christopher from the statue at Norton Priory, stylistically dated to between 1375 and 1400 AD (Marrow, 2008, 316). An incomplete cast copper alloy rowel spur of Post medieval (17th to 18th Centuries AD) dating. Approximately 50 of the spur is present, consisting of the back of the spur, part of the rowel box and part of one of the arms. The spur is in two pieces, with each piece being found separately but from the same site, and later refitted. The back and side of the spur consist of a concave curved plate, with moulded foliate or floral decoration on the outside. A complete cast copper alloy rowel from a spur, of Medieval to Post Medieval dating (1400 to 1600 AD). The rowel consists of ten (10) regularly spaced petal (sub oval) shaped points, arranged around a central circular perforation. The ends of the points are gently rounded (blunt). Shallow linear incisions are present, separating the points on the main body of the rowel. The edges have been bevelled slightly. The rowel is flat in profile. An incomplete cast silver gilt finial from an Apostle spoon, of Late Medieval to Post Medieval dating (15th to 16th Centuries AD). The finial consists of robed figure, with bare head and chin length chin, holding a book in his right hand and either a saw or a one sided palm frond in his left. The figure is stood on a double fluted hexagonal shaped base. It measures 32.01mm in length, 11.46mm wide and 8.88mm thick. It weighs 10.9 grams. An incomplete silver spoon handle, of Post Medieval dating (16th Century AD). The handle is an elongated 'tear drop' shape, with a rounded end. The front exhibits a central ridge (Hanoverian terminal) and the back is flat. Two initials have been scratched on the reverse 'S*C', presumably those of the original owner. The handle has broken across the hallmark, with only the standard mark being present.
